Sometimes I forget that we don’t work in the most conventional office. If you’ve ever been in our little space, you know that it’s choas, disfunction and love that makes this place rock. And while we try to give you as much insight as we can via this blog, we just became a part of Twitter ( a really rad up to the minute social site) which allows us to really keep you updated on fun stuff - like who sounds great during soundcheck, what’s going on at On The Rox, and what Nic thinks about the Laker’s score instantly. As if the first two shows of the residency haven’t been close to perfection - it just keeps getting better! We know the show’s have caused quite a buzz around town…and if you missed last week, don’t worry…I’m sure Chester from Linkin Park and Slash of GnR share the stage a lot….oh wait….So do yourself a favor, and come check out the history that will inevitably be made tonight. 944 has surely become one of the hottest magazines on the scene - we’ve partnered up with them several times and presented some of the best shows! From the Super Bowl Party in Arizona, to the recent sold out Mickey Avalon shows - obviously knowing what’s hot, it’s only fitting to see this great feature in the new issue (Lenny Kravitz on the cover). The bold English comedian kicked off the first of his four shows at The Roxy on Sunday - and it was hilarious!!! Stemming from the success of his movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” - he is the hottest comedian on the scene! We know that the band has moved to bigger pastures…seems fitting as our Roxy show sold out in record speed! But we are happy to be involved with their upcoming show at AVALON in Hollywood - and even happier to offer a contest for you to WIN tickets! Here at The Roxy we like to think we have an ear for what’s hot…what we love…and what bands we know will hit it big. But TOKIO HOTEL fooled us all!! We knew they were huge overseas - but with no album out in the US, we were a little hesitant. But something told us to take the chance - and we did! The rest…lives in Roxy history. A sold out show…a line down the block…fanatic fans from all over the world…and a few new fans too 
To this day, we still remember the Tokio Hotel madness with nothing but good thoughts. We know we hold a special spot in their hearts too! As the Roxy crew gathered around to check out the final version of the album, we were floored when we opened the album to see pictures taken in our very own backstage - and even more exciting was when we took the CD out of the case only to see our very own Roxy artwork. The new album hits stores today - and as the site of their first US show, we hope their 1st US release breaks records!
