It seems like we’ve watched the Shwayze machine grow before our very eyes…and all we can say after Tuesday’s show, is WOW. Talk about star quality (It didn’t hurt that that MTV crew was there finishing up the last shots of the soon - to - be - hottest show, “Buzzin”) but camera crews aside - these boys have IT. Always some of our favorite boys…and man, check out these pictures. Thanks EV, another great set!
After his stellar performance last night at the Troub - we are happy to announce that JOSEPH ARTHUR will be playing tomorrow night here at The Roxy along with James Hall and David Garza. It’s one of those nights where it’s hard to even fathom that kind of talent on one bill. Come be in awe with us. Their are still some tickets left, so snatch ‘em up! Click here or call us at 310 278 9457.
Don’t forget to come join us tonight as we transform into SHWAYZE’S BEACH HOUSE in celebration of our favorite Malibu boys. Complete with festive palm trees and fancy coctails - we are definitely in summer mode! Also, pre-order Shwayze’s debut album here at The Roxy, and meet the guys after the show! How cool is that?
June Boom! The Sunset Strip was on fire this month. SSMF, Crystal Castles sold-out midnight show, TRVS+DJAM w/ Too Short and (last but not least)the return of Shuvel, all made June a hit. Coming off of May, we worried if we would be able to keep the great photos coming. We were not dissapointed. Great job everyone! A Special “what up!” goes out imnotuna, Never Cool in School, totallylikeduh! and letsflyawaythistime, all who are contributing members of The Roxy Theatre Flickr Group. Nice work, keep it coming. If you want to shoot at The Roxy contact us at theroxy@mac.om and we will try to accommodate you the best we can. Thanks again to everyone who added over 1000 shots to the group this month. Hit us with your best shot! Fire Away!!!

Uber blogger Perez Hilton - is a lot of things. But one thing we must give the dude credit for is his extreme taste in music. He has his fingers on the pulse for SURE. He’s given us the hot tip on everyone from Amy Winehouse to our boy Shwayze. And while this time we were literally just moments ahead of his post, we are happy to announce the ultra hot TWO SPOT GOBI has been added to the Push Play show on August 16. They are coming all the way from over seas to play our stage and we can’t wait to welcome them wth open arms. If you’re into the likes of The Kooks or Jason Mraz (who they have a duet with) you will love this band! See you there! Here for tickets or 310 278 9457!

Possibly best known for their stint as MTV’s first “Band in a Bubble” (They were challenged to write, record and produce a full length album in the 20 days while living inside the bubble, while fans were allowed to access 23 strategically placed web cameras 24/7) they’ve definitely managed so make their mark in the real world. With Cartel’s brand of pop/punk/rock - you can’t help but want to move. Come move with us…the strip will be rocking, rest assured. Tickets, HERE.
