A Spot Ahead of Perez

Uber blogger Perez Hilton - is a lot of things. But one thing we must give the dude credit for is his extreme taste in music. He has his fingers on the pulse for SURE. He’s given us the hot tip on everyone from Amy Winehouse to our boy Shwayze. And while this time we were literally just moments ahead of his post, we are happy to announce the ultra hot TWO SPOT GOBI has been added to the Push Play show on August 16. They are coming all the way from over seas to play our stage and we can’t wait to welcome them wth open arms. If you’re into the likes of The Kooks or Jason Mraz (who they have a duet with) you will love this band! See you there! Here for tickets or 310 278 9457!

Psssst I Heard A Secret

I just heard straight from the Zebra’s mouth (which sounded suspiciously like Shwayze himself) - that tonight’s show is going to be crazzzzy fun. It’s free. Doors at 8:00pm, see you there!

Still Crazy For Shwayze

After our super intense weekend o’ fun…it’s hard not to have a roaring case of the Mondays…lucky for us, we have SHWAYZE to brighten our day! In addition to his show here at the Roxy next month, we know he’s quite a busy guy and we’re always happy to open our doors for Shwayze. Come show your pretty mug and rock out with our favorite Malibu boys. The show is free, doors are at 8:00pm - so come early to score front row center!

Shwayze 6/30

A Very Buzzzzzzzworthy Thursday

Maybe you saw Shwayze at Wango Tango this year (playing right before headliner Hannah Montana!), or maybe you saw them LIVE on TRL, or maybe you caught them warming up for Gym Glass Heroes on the Mainstage at Warped Tour last weekend? Or maybe, you’re just catching onto this crazy rad mish mash of rock and rap. Lucky you, we have SHWAYZE coming back to rock our stage next month. They are blowing up right before our very eyes, and as a band extra close to our hearts - we can’t wait to have them home. Call us for tickets - 310 278 9457 or click here!

Also going onsale today, MELEE!! Since their last Roxy show, they have spent some quality time on the road with the likes of Matt Nathanson and a headlining tour with Matt White. These OC boys always put on a great show - and are some of my very favorite Roxy guys. They’ve been spending some serious time overseas, so make sure you welcome back to the homeland properly. Call us for tickets (310 278 9457) or click here.

Come Join Us For A.i. At On the Rox

We all know that the SSMF is taking over the Strip full force this weekend! With the help of our friends at Red Bull, we are transforming ON THE ROX into a super swanky VIP lounge - but what good is that, without a great band? Enter, A.i. They’ve been one of our favorite bands for a very long time and we couldn’t be happier to have them rock n roll all night long with us. This is a guestlist event, but wanted to make sure we gave you all a chance to attend as well. So, please RSVP below! Please note that the event is 21+ only, and you must present a photo I.D at the door.

Possibly best known for their stint as MTV’s first “Band in a Bubble” (They were challenged to write, record and produce a full length album in the 20 days while living inside the bubble, while fans were allowed to access 23 strategically placed web cameras 24/7) they’ve definitely managed so make their mark in the real world. With Cartel’s brand of pop/punk/rock - you can’t help but want to move. Come move with us…the strip will be rocking, rest assured. Tickets, HERE.

Travis Barker and DJ AM Get Ready To Conquer

If their ever was a hybrid all-star team…superstar DJ, DJ AM and epic drummer Travis Barker who have joined to collectively become TRVSDJ-AM - are IT. Everyone is taking notice of the brewing residency, including the LA Times. Come check it out - tickets here or 310 278 9457.

“The star turntablist and the former Blink-182 drummer have been doing their scratch ‘n’ bash for few years now, popping up at clubs around the country and attracting guest turns from the likes of Too $hort, Paul Wall, Fabolous and Lil’ Jon. L.A. being their home base, they’re expecting the roster of drop-ins to expand considerably.

DJ AM is tight-lipped on their identities, but says he’s expecting some “beyond-legends that I’m amazed I’m going to get to share the stage with…. We both have a lot of friends who are musicians who are gonna be around, so we’re just gonna kind of wing it and see how it goes. Whoever comes, just put ‘em on blast, basically, and throw ‘em onstage.”

More Sugar Ray On The Rox Please

Fresh off of Camp Freddy, Mark McGrath looked like he didn’t get enough of The Roxy. Sugar Ray got up and played two of their biggest hits for the surprised party goers at On The Rox, Fly and Every Morning. So much fun and totally unexpected. Thats why we love what we do, you will never know what will happen. Thanks to Murphy, Rodney, Stan and Mark. Always great to see you guys.

June Boom

Our wonderful month of Mayhem with Camp Freddy has really set a high standard for future residency’s to come. And we’re pretty sure the Hybrid machine that is Travis Barker live on drums and DJ AM spinning the night away…is pretty much perfection. We’re happy to have them on the last Wednesday of JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST. That’s June 25, July 30, and August 27 for all of you without your handy ical. So come join us - tickets can be found on ticketmaster by clicking here and as always 310 278 9457 to call us directly for tickets.

How cool does this look?

10 Shots From The Top

This month will be hard to beat. With so many legendary artists gracing The Roxy stage, it was very hard to find just 10. Camp Freddy had by far the most added to the group, mostly do to having 5 shows this month and a lot of amazing trigger happy photographers. Russell Brand also had many to choose from but i felt this one had special meaning because our own sound guy lee was in the mix. My personal favorite picture, not just because it’s so awesome, but that the Foxboro Hot Tubs was my favorite show in a long time. Again a huge thank you for all who added your pictures to The Roxy Theatre Group on flickr. We now have over 2500 photos and 120 members in just over a month. Keep it coming, Click click!
