Happy Thursday all! We have some shows on the books right now, that will please a plethora of musical tastes and we wanted to give you a heads up of whats going on sale today. DWELE
Heads up folks: You will definitely want to pencil us in for next Wednesday (July 16) for a little hip hop lovin’ at the Roxy. Some of the original boys from the old-school Oakland rap scene are passing thru and we are happy to have them. They are some of the pioneers in West Coast rap and it is hot!! Make sure you come and check out one of our favs The Gray Kid, along with Maddie Lauer, and Apoetnomadali.
REBELUTION are no strangers to the Roxy (they played with SOJA, in February) - and everytime they play, their fan base seems to grow and grow (I guess that’s kind of the plan…). But we knew these guys would be stars! We’ve seen them go from support to headliner and we’re happy to be a part of it. Come check it out and show them some Roxy love as they headline our stage for the first time. Along with partners in crime, IRATION and LatchKey Kid - its going to be a very reggae night! Rebelution at The Roxy
Our wonderful month of Mayhem with Camp Freddy has really set a high standard for future residency’s to come. And we’re pretty sure the Hybrid machine that is Travis Barker live on drums and DJ AM spinning the night away…is pretty much perfection. We’re happy to have them on the last Wednesday of JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST. That’s June 25, July 30, and August 27 for all of you without your handy ical. Now that we have started our own Flickr group, The Roxy Theatre, anyone can add their photos taken at The Roxy or On The Rox to share with the world. So far we have received over 1500 photos from over 100 members. At the beginning of each month we will post our favorites in our “Shots From The Top” post. We’re really excited for Swedish lounge-pop outfit Little Dragon to finally be coming Stateside. We’ve been spinning “Fortune” pretty much non-stop since it first came into our realm a few weeks ago, and now we have the opportunity to offer some tickets for you guys to win (we know—no need to thank us). Iration, Shwazye w/ Cisco Adler, The Truth, Tomorrow’s Bad Seed and just added a midnight show with our new friends The Pricks. This will be one of the more fun nights we have at the club.
