Always cool to see of our favorite Roxy bands doing well on the charts! Even more exciting that currently on the ITUNES TOP ALBUMS, their are quite a few of our favs! From Nas‘ hot new album, The Camp Rock soundtrack with Demi Lovato (both in the top 15) to Metrostation, Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillet, 3Oh!3, OneRepublic, and newcomer Justin Nozuka - happy to have had all these artists rock our stage!

Ohhhh so many amazing things happening in the land of Shwayze, and we really wanted to give them a big congrats for currently being #4 on ITUNES TOP SONGS. All is good in the world when you are sandwiched between the hottest Jonas Brothers tracks! In addition, they have been nominated for TWO VMA’s (hosted by our dear friend Russell Brand) for Best Pop Video & Best Hip Hop Video- so please head over and vote vote vote for them. Congrats Boys!

The Roxy witnessed a classic, an epic, a legendary show…call it what you want, but in our minds it was one of the best hip hop performances ever. Big, big ups to Myspace for giving us such a treat. And Mulatto, you guys can hold it down, we want you back soon. We have lots of shots from this show, so watch over the next couple of days for more. Just a heads up that TWO new show’s are going on sale…and it’s quite an eclectic mix. Hopefully one of ‘em will tickle your fancy. Mickey Avalon regulars ANDRE LEGACY,DIRT NASTY,BEARDO will be taking the stage August 15th so make sure to get your tickets! Just wanted to put those little hearts and heads at ease - we DO indeed have two (REALLY GREAT AMAZING) shows next Friday July 18th. This isn’t a mistake or a typo. It’s an eclectic mix, and that’s why the Roxy rox. We can transform from Pop to Hip Hop seamlessly. So, to reiterate - Doors for Radio Disney Presents: DEMI LOVATO are at 7:00pm. Doors for Myspace Music Presents: NAS are at 10:30pm.

Some of the original boys from the old-school Oakland rap scene are passing thru and we are happy to have them. They are some of the pioneers in West Coast rap and it is hot!! Make sure you come and check out one of our favs The Gray Kid, along with Maddie Lauer, and Apoetnomadali.
How excited we are for SHWAYZE next week?? He’s clearly the Buzz of the summer (pun intended…) and even tho we MIGHT be a little biased…we know Shwayze is going to be huge. The hot new reality show “Buzzin” premieres in just a few weeks on MTV, so make sure you come out and celebrate next week with our favorite boys Shwayze, Cisco, and Skeet Skeet. June Boom! The Sunset Strip was on fire this month. SSMF, Crystal Castles sold-out midnight show, TRVS+DJAM w/ Too Short and (last but not least)the return of Shuvel, all made June a hit. Coming off of May, we worried if we would be able to keep the great photos coming. We were not dissapointed. Great job everyone!
