If you’ve been watching VH1 or MTV, you’ve seen the hot new video from Adele for “Chasing Pavements”- her single is really taking off and we can’t wait to see it live. She’s part of that really great soul mix - Amy Winehouse-ish jazz that gets stuck in your head instantly. As expected, this Roxy show is sold out - so for all those that don’t have tickets make sure to check back as we post pics from the show later this week!
The bold English comedian kicked off the first of his four shows at The Roxy on Sunday - and it was hilarious!!! Stemming from the success of his movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” - he is the hottest comedian on the scene! We’re excited to transform the room into a comedy club a few more times this month- come check it out! Click here to see some great fan pictures.
We had a great time on Tuesday…as Candlebox, local favs Goldenstate, and Black Summer Crush rocked the stage. And as always, we love seeing post-show photos. Check out some GREAT ones taken by one of our pals- hey, is that our office door? Photo credit: Erik Voake.
Just a quick shout out to our pal Dave, and his guest blogging about the Presidents of the United States of America show last Friday! Thanks Dave - and check out his amazing photos too- is that Weird Al??
When bands drop off the map, its far and few between that can put out an album and tour like they did 10 years ago. However, when PUSA took the stage at the Roxy, the crowd proved that they wanted them back on stage more than ever. Singing along with every song the crowd grew together and the energy radiated from the floor all the way through the stained glass window at the top of the club. Then when things couldn’t get any better, the trio brought some guests on stage. First was Wayne from MC5 to help them cover his infamous song… KICK OUT THE JAMS, but the true highlight of the evening was when Weird Al jumped up on stage, accordion in hand, and blasted out Boston’s, MORE THAN A FEELING with the guys to close the night. I’m a fan all over again….

Arguably one of the coolest songs of the late 90’s, we cannot WAIT to hear Peaches live (amongst other songs) from Presidents of the United States of America. And we hear good things about the new album!
“They have delivered an inventive, uplifting and often brilliant rock & roll album. From the opening, celebratory blast of “Mixed Up SOB”—which embraces the spirit of the band’s 4 million-selling eponymous debut—to the warm, Shins-like lilt of “Loose Balloon,” the group commandeers your attention with fourteen contagious winners.”
Looks like our friends at Live Nation really brought us a great show! Come flashback to the 90’s with us…and maybe discover some new favorites!
