Thanks to all of our lovely Sunset Strip neighbors, friends, local businesses and beyond, for making Tweetcrawl 2.0 (SSMF Edition) a HUGE success! From tickets, to hotel rooms - we hooked up some of our most loyal tweeps. Thanks to all who participated - first timers The Standard and Book Soup, and veterans The Comedy Store, The Andaz, The Viper Room, and us. Also, a BIG thank you to KTLA for the coverage!

First Ever Tweetcrawl An Official Success

It was a lovely Saturday night on the Sunset Strip, weather was perfect and I was ready to get my geek on. The mix of twitter + real life is a touchy subject. How do you you master the transition?? The Andaz was a perfect place to start the party - friendly faces, tasty drinks (everyone MUST try ‘The Plant’), and a great start to the mixer. Venturing next door to The Comedy Club, we were treated to an intimate tour of the club, some great stories (Jim Carrey used to answer the phones!) and some top notch stand-up. Once we had our comedy fill (never enough!) we trekked down to the Viper Room, saw some rock and roll, ate some BBQ, and headed to The Roxy! We had a hot show with Mateo, and even hotter drink specials for our tweeps ($3 vodka rebulls/ $5 your choice). Couldn’t have been happier with the turnout, met some great new people, gave away fancy prizes, and really embraced The Strip. Cannot wait for the next one!! Thanks to Charlie and The Andaz, Alf at The Comedy Store, Chelsea and Nate at The Viper, The 98.7 ladies, and our Roxy team. Stay tuned!!!
As expected, Twitter was a buzz with all sorts of #stripcrawl action!!

First Ever Sunset Strip Tweetcrawl

This Saturday, The Sunset Strip (@TheSunsetStrip) will be having the first ever Tweet Crawl [club crawl + Twitter community]. Each venue will have their own commemorative limited edition buttons for you—obviously for the next morning, when you need to remember where you were and what you were doing!

Here’s the skinny:

We’ll be starting at Andaz (@andazweho) at 6:30pm for free food bar bites and drink specials. Then head to The Comedy Store (@TheComedyStore) at 7:30pm for cocktails & twitter heavy comics (@Almadrigal @Standrdusername @danmadonia). At 9:00pm walk down Sunset Blvd to The Viper Room (@theVIPERroom) for drinks from their $5 happy hour menu and rock ‘n roll. Make a final crawl at 10:45pm to The Roxy (@TheRoxy) for more great music and booze– Archie’s Ice Cream will be there providing killer ice cream!

While en route, The Viper Room will be hiding @chicBuds and free tickets, while The Comedy Store will be hiding Comedy DVDs, free tickets, t-shirts +more. Make sure to turn on your mobile Twitter updates for @TheRoxy @theVIPERroom @TheComedyStore and @andazweho for
your chance to capitalize on all things free.
