If you have ever spent a late night at On The Rox, you’ve probably met our main man Ryan Stuber! His band Shuvel has been an LA staple for years - and nothing makes us happier than having the band back on our stage. It’s a night full of amazing local tunes - and we’re excited to have SHUVEL close out the show. Join us tomorrow along with Helen 55, Against All Will, Annie Automatic, and Un:Armed!

It has been almost 3 years since San Diego boys Switchfoot have been on our stage, and with a new album (coming out just the day before their show!) we are getting excited. Tickets are going fast and are sure to sell out, so get them soon! Such talented guys…we couldn’t think of a better way to begin to close out the year.
Billy Boy On Poison are back! It has been a while since they have rocked us, and we could not be happier to have them back with us. Local rock nights are some of our favorite shows to do, we like to showcase the best of the best in local talent - and you can’t go wrong with our partner KROQ Locals Only. Cheap ticket, great music, what more could you ask for?? See you there!
On My Way - Billy Boy On Poison
After the roaring success of Tweetcrawl numero uno, we couldn’t help but get our wheels spinning instantly on how to create a bigger and badder version. We are thrilled that even more local businesses wanted to join in, to create TWO additional stops at version 2.0. Armed with drink specials, special SSMF themed giveaways, and live entertainment - we are ready to take the strip by storm!
We encourage you to roll with us from start to finish - as we start at the lovely Standard Hotel (@standardhwood), head to The Andaz West Hollywood (@andazweho), get our laughs on at The Comedy Store (@thecomedystore), be literary at Book Soup (@booksoup), rock out at The Viper Room (@theviperroom), and end with some ultimate Karaoke at The Roxy (@theroxy). Please head over to twitter and follow all of us for info! Please save SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 on those calendars folks!
How can you argue with this? Thanks to Metromix for the kind Killola words! We think they rock too. See you tonight!
How manys ways does Killola kick a**? Let’s count. First, they “freeleased” their entire 2nd album “I Am the Messer” online for (you guessed it) totally free. Second, they’re one of the bands that’s revitalized the LA rock scene. Third, lead singer Lisa Reiffel is smokin’. She reminds us of a young Belinda Carlisle with a dash of Nina Hagen. We could go on and on, the point is that you should make it a high priority to catch their punky, power-pop rock sound at the Roxy.
We’re a huge fan of buzz bands, local music, discovering new tunes. Which is why we think The Deli Mag (fresh from NYC) is the hottest! Help them rock their Spring print issue with a sweet party at The Roxy. Live performances include Electrocute, AM, Django James and the Midnight Squires, Daniel Ahearn and Correatown, with Hunnypot DJs spinning and MCing the event.
