This is our way of showing our appreciation for all of our loyal customers and new patrons we’ve met this past year. Thanks for helping us make 2009 a great year and being part of our community!
It has been almost 3 years since San Diego boys Switchfoot have been on our stage, and with a new album (coming out just the day before their show!) we are getting excited. Tickets are going fast and are sure to sell out, so get them soon! Such talented guys…we couldn’t think of a better way to begin to close out the year.
What is a great musician without a killer band?? Ya, thats what we think too. Before Jason Mraz and company call it a day at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl on Saturday - Grooveline Horns (his band for the tour) is going to party it up big at The Roxy. Can’t wait to see the infamous and talented Trumpets, saxophones, & trombones on our stage! Tickets onsale now!
We would be lying if we said that Twitter hasnt changed our business (and the Sunset Strip) just a tad. We like seeing what you are most excited about, what your favorite track was last night, and what shows you are into! Over the past year we’ve given away tons of tickets, and now in anticipation of hitting 20, 000 followers - we’re going to be giving away a pair of tickets to every person who tweets about an upcoming Roxy show until we hit that magic number! So simple! When you tweet us, we’ll hit you back with how to redeem the tix. One pair per person - ready go!
**Tix can be used on any on-sale, public, ticketed show - rentals/private event/sold out shows excluded**
When one of our musical comrades are in a pinch, we are happy to play host to a charity show in their honor. In this case, Scott Ford (Gutter Twins/radio blogger) is having some medical treatments that he could use a little help with. The benefit concert will feature his pals Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Scott Shriner (Weezer), Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), Donovan Leitch, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Greg Dulli (Twilight Singers),Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp), Wayne Kramer (MC5) and Steve O (Jackass), with an opening set from Jason Heath & the Greedy Souls. Join us on September 26 to help raise some spirits (and some money)! Tickets available thru ticketmaster and by calling us at 310 278 9457!
Nothing gets us going quite like festival season - and as summer is slowly winding down, we can not think of a better way to send off the season quite like having one right in our back yard. The lineup is amazing and sure to please any musical palate, best thing - tickets are $39.50. For all you mathletes, that’s less than a dollar a band.
To say that our two night stint with My Chemical Romance was huge, would be an understatement. Fans came from far and wide making our Sunset Blvd their temporary home, and we could not have been happier. The fan in us, knows what a treat it is to see such a huge band in our intimate venue! Knowing that The Roxy was the bands personal choice of spots to play made it that much more special. We were treated to all the hits - Welcome to the Black Parade, Teenagers and Helena - and were the sounding board for new tracks in preparation for their trip to Japan this week. Complete with limited edition posters and tshirts, this performance will go down as one for the books. Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen - the band, KROQ, Warner Brothers, the fans and our devoted tweeps. Til next time!
