Saint Motel are one of our favorite bands making their way onto the Roxy scene! We are suckers for anything with a theme, and lucky for us - they feel the same way. We’ve been so lucky over the past few years to have one of our very own - as our house photographer. It was only fitting for one of our breakout shows of 2009 to make their way back to our stage for New Years Eve! Enter: Mike Posner. We have so much confidence in this up and comer, we invited him and his friends to take The Roxy into 2010. It’s kind of a big deal…if you’ve ever been to a Roxy NYE - you know its no joke. One of the true indie darlings of 2009 are taking the stage next week - and we cannot wait to see them live. We’ve been hearing the buzz from the Eastsiders for a while - and they are even featured on everyone’s favorite soundtrack (’Twilight’ of course!). What is a great musician without a killer band?? Ya, thats what we think too. Before Jason Mraz and company call it a day at the beautiful Hollywood Bowl on Saturday - Grooveline Horns (his band for the tour) is going to party it up big at The Roxy. To this generation Adam was our bridge between genres of music and culture that had not yet been brought together. He made it cool for the metal rockers to listen to hip hop, the bboys to bang their heads and the electro kids sing a long to a 70’s ballad . I think it will be years ’til we truly understand how he shaped the way that we see and hear music. AM made music fun again. DJ AM FOREVER!
